Our sponsored events kicked off with Don McLeod cycling from Land’s End to John o’Groats. This led to our latest campaign encouraging our supporters to run, walk, climb, swim, pedal, paddle.

Work with UK schools
In 2011, Rowlands Gill Primary School became the first UK school to “pair” with a school in Pragatinagar. This will be a mutually beneficial educational project and Rowlands Gill have already helped to raise funds for a filtered drinking water project at Narayani Primary School. We would be delighted to help link other schools in the UK to our schools in Nepal.
Nepal themed events
We run "Nepal" evenings for local groups, outdoor clubs and societies with presentations about Nepal and the work of the charity. If you would like us to give a presentation for your group then get in touch.
How do we spend funds raised?
Funds are granted by the Trustees each year to schools and entrusted to school management committees. Schools sign a grant agreement form which defines the purpose of the grant and the verification conditions. We check and verify all grant assistance by collecting evidence and annual visits to Nepal. Since the Trust operates entirely on volunteer efforts, the percentage of funds raised that goes to good causes in schools is close to 100%, less a few small administrative costs.
